The Zombie Apocalypse – How Cell Phones Are Killing Zombies

There probably will never be such a thing as the perfect zombie horde, unless you count cell phone zombies as such. Most people who own a cell phone are just like you: they use it for personal communication and as a secondary means of transport. They don’t carry cash or check books; they carry their social security number and an emergency pin. They don’t even own a paper money bag. In short, they are living totally outside of any tradition they may have been accustomed to.

If you were to visit a Wal-Mart or a Best Buy, you would see hundreds of people with their smartphones in tow. Even in public places, you would see people tapping away on their smartphones. But if you were to visit a coffee shop or a restaurant, there wouldn’t be very many people with smartphones. Instead, you would see smartly dressed patrons reading magazines, taking notes, or filling out paperwork. In a way, they are working off the grid by only charging their cell phones and using the services of others to stay connected. This doesn’t mean that their life is less glamorous; it just means that they are using technology to increase their functionality and not to save it.

With the rise of smartphone zombies, we are also seeing the rise of the Zombie Necromancer. As the undead rise from the dead, it is up to humanity to rise from the dead and throw away the cell phone. After all, we did bring it along, right? So why throw it away?
